Class 4 Summer

Welcome to Class 4!

This term in history, we learnt about the raids and invasions by Vikings in Anglo-Saxon Britain.

We learnt who the Vikings were as well as when and where they raided and settled. The children found out about the Anglo-Saxon kings who ruled during the ‘Viking Age’ and examined their influence and significance in British History. The children also had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of everyday Viking life. They explored the types of houses that the Vikings lived in, what clothes they wore and even what types of food they ate.

In English, we studied a variety of texts set in this time period and based our writing around these interesting books.

We also enjoyed our djembe drumming lessons.
